Machinists Union prevails in obtaining TAA benefits for members employed by Joy Technologies, LLC, Franklin, PA.

We have prevailed in achieving the approval for TAA this was the second one we filed since the 250  IAM  members were laid off .

The U.S. Department of Labor (Department) recently conducted an investigation in response to the petition for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) that was filed on behalf of workers at the above referenced firm.  Enclosed is a copy of a determination for Certification of Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended, which allows a worker to apply for benefits under the TAA Program.
